Self-help groups, also known as peer support groups, provide emotional and social support, and practical help in dealing with a problem common to all members.

The Self-Help Connection is a Self-Help Resource Centre or Clearinghouse for hundreds of groups in Nova Scotia, including support groups for abuse, anxiety, stress, depression, manic depression, addictions, bereavement, eating disorders,parenting, caregiving, heart and stroke, cancer and divorce.

This year the Self-Help Connection is celebrating its 25th Anniversary! Stay tuned for upcoming celebratory information.
